Avimig's presidency, board of directors and technical councils bring together renowned specialists in favor of the discussion and defense of more productive, competitive and sustainable practices, in addition to contributing to the organization of events, seminars, congresses and technical visits.

The works developed by the councils are focused on consumer education and awareness, covering the following topics:

• Poultry Health.

Avimig has representatives on all committees, chambers and commissions linked to government entities and agribusiness representative bodies, such as:

• State Secretariat for Agriculture, Livestock and Supply of Minas Gerais (Seapa);

• Instituto Mineiro de Agropecuária (IMA);

• Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of Minas Gerais (Faemg);

• Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais (Fiemg);

• Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA);

• Institute Eggs Brazil.

Increasingly strengthening the union of the sector, only Avimig can act together with the organized powers – Legislative, Judiciary and Executive – at the federal, state and municipal levels, seeking to improve legislation and defend the rights of its associates.

The exemption from PIS/Cofins and ICMS on poultry products was one of Avimig's great achievements for the sector. This exemption represents 3%, on average, of companies' revenues.
